You will never run out of things to do on the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza). If this were not the case then they wouldn't be considered the favorite winter vacation place for Spaniards and one of the major tourist stops during spring break and during the summer. The Balearic Islands were originally a favored place of artists and intellectuals. This carries through today in giving you a rich choice of art galleries that are located all over the islands and tours of monasteries. There is a water park on one of the islands and just about any kind of water activity that you can think of, from swimming to wind surfing.

Shopping on the Balearic Islands is a little different from the rest of Europe. Most of what you will find will not be exactly mainstream. To say that it is not exactly mainstream means that it follows along the lines of island shopping, rather then mainland shopping. Among the shops here, you will find some of the fashion shops that have been leading the world in ad lib designs for over 30 years. There is the La Mola Crafts Fair, that occurs every Wednesday and Sunday, where you will find many fine made crafts or if you prefer, you can watch them make the product that is in your particular interest category.

Car parking/hire on the Balearic Islands is not difficult, although, as might be expected, there are fewer agencies and vehicles to choose from. There are many people that suggest renting a car during your stay there. It is economical and you can find very satisfactory transportation for your meanderings. Without a car, you may not be able to see all that there is to see on any one of the islands and depending on where you are at you may find it difficult to travel from island to island. Parking is prolific throughout most of the island because you are not actually in a town or village so you seemingly park wherever you like.

Balearic Islands hotel accommodations are more than satisfactory and of course a Balearic Islands restaurant is one of the reasons people visit the Balearic Islands. These restaurants largely serve local cuisine, prepared in absolutely unique ways. There are a multitude of recipes that come from the Balearic Islands. Their most famous is mayonnaise. One can expect that most of the food is going to have a Mediterranean flare about it, although not all of it. The islanders love to cook and have earned a reputation for coming up with over six hundred recipes that are being used thought the world.
