Cuevas dels Hams

Discovered by Mr. Pedro Caldentey on March 2nd 1905, the Hams Caves are famous for their peculiar arborescent formations, and for the marvellous underground lake, where an extraordinary concert- show is offered.

The splendid electric lighting, a magical combination of light and colour, is due to Mr. Lorenzo Caldentey, the caves discoverer's son.

A visit to the caves will allow you to meet their "inhabitants", prehistoric crustaceans which have survived the passing of time.The visits are made in small groups, each accompanied by guides- interpreters, who ensure an informative and pleasant visit.The Caves are placed on the Manacor/Porto- Cristo road, 1 Km. from Porto- Cristo.
